Retaining Walls, Artificial Turf and Pavers Installation
with PBH Builders in San Diego
At PBH Builders, we’re love helping homeowners make the most of their outdoor spaces. Recently, we worked on a project in San Diego, CA, where we changed a backyard into a functional, low-maintenance, and beautiful space. This project included building retaining walls, installing artificial turf, and adding pavers to create a practical yet inviting yard.
Customer needs in mind
The homeowners had a backyard that was difficult to use and maintain. They wanted a solution that would level out the yard and give them more usable space. They also wanted the area to look great without requiring too much upkeep. That’s where we came in.
Our work
1. Building Retaining Walls
The first step was to tackle the slope. To do this, we built a series of retaining walls. These walls are made of high-quality blocks that not only support the soil but also add a nice, clean look to the yard.
The walls were carefully designed and installed to make sure they’re strong and long-lasting. We also added a stepped design in some areas to maximize space and make the layout more functional.
2. Installing Artificial Turf
Once the retaining walls were in place, we installed artificial turf in the bottom areas. Artificial turf is a great choice for a backyard because it looks just like natural grass but doesn’t need watering, mowing, or fertilizing.
The turf creates a soft, green surface that’s perfect for kids to play on, and it adds a polished look to the space.
3. Adding Pavers
We also installed pavers in key areas of the yard. Pavers were used to create pathways and the base for a playhouse. They’re durable, easy to clean, and blend nicely with the rest of the yard.
The pavers help divide the space and give it a neat, organized feel. They also provide a solid foundation for outdoor furniture and play equipment.
The Result
As you can see in the attached photos, the result is amazing. The space is now a functional, low-maintenance outdoor area that the whole family can enjoy. The retaining walls have leveled the yard and added structure, while the artificial turf and pavers make it look clean and modern.
